Groot Constantia is located on the Cape Peninsula overlooking False Bay. The vineyards are located in a steep valley on the east side of Table Mountain. Winemaker Boela Gerber found his way to Groot Constantia after six years in the wine industry. After graduating, he first spent some time on Stellenzicht under the wings of Andre van Rensburg (current winemaker at Vergelegen) and then spent some time at Rickety Bridge before starting his career at Groot Constantia.
